New Milford Hospital Hosts Bi-Monthly Author’s Series Starting in May
New Milford Hospital will host a new bi-monthly Author’s Series at New Milford Hospital featuring authors of books who will talk about their latest work. The first Author’s Series lecture takes place on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 6 p.m. with featured guest author, is Kevin Gutzman, JD, PhD, who has written James Madison and the Making of America. The program will be held in Robison Rooms A & B at New Milford Hospital, 21 Elm Street. Books will also be available for sale.
In his book James Madison and the Making of America, Gutzman looks beyond the way James Madison is traditionally seen. Instead of an idealized portrait of Madison, the author treats readers to the flesh-and blood story of a man who often performed his founding deeds in spite of himself: Madison’s fame rests on his participation in the writing of The Federalist Papers and his role in drafting the Bill of Rights and Constitution.
Seating is limited. To register, please call 1-800-516-4743.
